Family Day Get-Together & Fishing Day

Location: 129 Lakeside Road, Lanark, (Patterson Lake)
This family get-together and ice-fishing event on Patterson Lake is an opportunity for L&DF&GCC members and friends to enjoy a social occasion.
This day was picked to coincide with the Family Day weekend as well as the Ontario Fish License-Free weekend (Feb 14 – 16, 2026) which entitles anyone to fish under the guidelines of a Conservation Licence.
Also, traditionally, conditions at this time of year should allow for safe worry-free ice conditions travelling on the lake.
Again, this year, the most important aspect is to regenerate member interest, come and go as you please and enjoy.
Susan has kindly offered people the opportunity to access the lake at her beautiful property located at 129 Lakeside Road, Lanark, (Patterson Lake).
This event includes the benefit of a shoreline fire pit on which hot dogs will be cooking. The Club will supply the firewood & hotdogs.
If you like to fish, bring your gear, if fishing isn’t for you, bring your folding chair and sit around the fire. We will have the fire burning by 1:30 PM.
To summarize:
The day comes at no cost to attendees.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and bring family members and/or friends.
Take advantage of the Family Fishing Weekend to try a hand at angling licence-free through the ice
Hopefully enjoy a beautiful Family Day on the lake.
Everyone is welcome to bring their own collection of gear, treats and beverages.
