Meetings are held at the Lanark Legion , 69 George St, Lanark.

Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of the month except July and August, some dates may change, keep your eye on this page.

CWD testing will be happening this fall in many of our zone WMU's

• Eastern Ontario (Kingston-Perth-Brockville) in WMUs: 63B, 64A, 66A, 67 and 69B.

Sampling will be done by roving MNR crews during portions of the gun seasons and using ministry freezer depots through both the bow and gun seasons from October to late December.

Hunters missed by the roving crews are invited to take the head of their yearling or older deer to a ministry freezer depot (antlers should be removed). If you cannot drop off your sample within 48 hours, you can freeze the head and bring it to the drop-off depot frozen. Fawns are not sampled as it is difficult to detect CWD in animals less than 12 months old. Drop-off depots will be open from October until late December in both surveillance areas. Depot locations will be posted on ontario.ca/CWD in the fall.

Member input wanted

We are looking for your input about club fund raising. Currently the club has only one fundraiser which is our annual potluck and awards night . In the past we had a Pig Roast for several years at Mals Campground offering entertainment and great food and our Duck Race where we share money between winners, the club and the Royal Canadian Legion in Lanark.

If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them. Bring your ideas to the next meeting or contact Jim with your thoughts.
